FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS WITH MODERATE AND MULTIPLE MENTAL RETARDATION

Day-care center treats children and youth with moderate and multiple mental retardation, aged 15-27. Treatment is structured as serial of educative, working and skill training sessions.

OBLIGATORY ACTIVITIES

• music and rhythm exercises

• physical exercises

• socialization

• locomotion exercises

Working treatment does not include any skills qualification but is created to enable beneficiaries for most simple jobs.

WORKING TREATMENT

Working treatment is created in accordance to capability and skills abilities of our beneficiaries in the following workshops:

• tailoring

• weaving

• ceramics

• cooking

• plastic

• embroidery

• paper products

• wooden products

• decorative glass

• metal production

• wax products

Our beneficiaries feel themselves useful, having choice to find the best way to express their abilities

Treatment is led by:

• special teachers

• work therapists

• corrective services (speech therapists, somatopedist, re-educator)

• professional services unit

• health care service

Day-care Center contributes to better socialization and develops feeling of belonging to the group and society.
